Driving back from our stay at the pleasant pheasant last week we stumbled upon one of the loveliest restaurants/kitchen gardens I have ever seen, welcome to Pythouse Kitchen Garden in Wiltshire. This walled piece of paradise will enchant you the moment you step inside. Stroll around the kitchen garden amongst the best looking fruit and vegetables you've probably ever seen then enter the cut flower garden where you can pick your own flowers, I was in heaven!
The restaurant is beautifully furnished and opens into a glass house that is quite rustic and laid back with natural woods, stone and dried flowers. We happened across the place for late breakfast and enjoyed wonderful coffee and the best sticky pear and ginger cake i've ever tasted. The menu for the evening had us drooling so we will definitely be back for dinner!
Also enchanting were the little tents at the back of the garden for glamping. And if I wasn't already married i'd be wanting my wedding here as they do those too!
I love how natural the decor is and the fresh flowers on the table from the garden are just so pretty, what with the fairy lights and the log burning stove I should imagine sitting here for dinner of an evening is extremely romantic and the food on the menu looks wonderful and seasonal.
The September light was spectacular as always with that milky sun and coolish hue setting the flowers off beautifully.
I'd love to know what you think if you pay it a visit or, if you've been for dinner let me know what it was like.
